Hi there! I'm Emily. I love dogs (and cats!) of all shapes and sizes. I would be happy to take your pet for a walk, sit, or board your dog. I've been around dogs for most of my life, and have been walking dogs for years. My love of dogs started early, as I grew up an only child with a dog for a sibling. I moved to NY after college to pursue acting and comedy, and have been blessed with having housemates with dogs in the past. I joined Rover to fill the void when my roommates with dogs moved out. ***I ALSO LOVE CATS. I found an abandoned four month old kitten on a cold November night in 2017 dumped in his carrier in a park, which I then brought inside my house to get warm, while knowing very little about cats at the time. My boyfriend decided to adopt the kitten the next day. I have since joined the cat fan club, and I am now the cool cat mom. I can talk about how much I love that cat all day. He's an orange tabby we have named Cheddar. I have done plenty of catsitting from Rover clients now too! Catsitting requests have been growing in numbers for me over the past year. I originally joined Rover for the dogs, but I am a very informed and happy cat caretaker these days too.*** Your dog and I will get in a good mix of sniffing, strolling, jogging, sunshine, and having fun. I will take note of any concerns you may have, and give you a thorough report on your doggo. I'm familiar with basic training techniques, dog behaviors, and uses of different harnesses and leashes. I'm naturally pretty chatty, and I would give a guess that I communicate a good deal more than other walkers/sitters typically do. I can understand being protective of your fur baby, and I pride myself in giving detailed, thorough reports to put your mind at ease. I'm willing to do a meet and greet over coffee, or in your home or mine first if you're looking for something consistent. I'll accommodate your instructions the best I can.
