Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of dogs of almost every breed, age, and temperament. Not only have I taken care of neighbors’, family’s, and friends’ dogs, but I have also worked professionally in a doggy daycare/boarding facility. I have been studying dog training both online and in person for the past six months, and would like to eventually make it my career.

Emily was great! We just recently had to start the search for a new pet sitter after an incident with our former one, so I was a little nervous about this new experience but Emily was perfect. Professional, kind, provided photos and updates often and my babies felt loved! Absolutely working with her in the future!

I take each approach personally. I will ask you a few questions about your dog, the kinds of activities they enjoy, and any issues you may be working on (no jumping on people, reactivity, etc). I have also worked with senior dogs, young puppies, and dogs with disabilities. Any activities we do will take into account your dog’s energy level and be tailored to their needs.

Let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviors that I will need to account for ahead of time. If your dog is person/dog reactive, I can plan our activities accordingly and even help work on their reactivity if that is something you’re interested in. I do bring my own treats, so if your dog has any allergies or food sensitivities please let me know.
A typical day
I love to provide both physical and mental enrichment for dogs in my care. On walks I will usually take them around their own neighborhood and let them sniff all the smells. I also like to play nose-work games with the dogs using treats (I always bring my own and will ask if your dog has allergies/dietary restrictions). If your dog likes running then we can do that too, and hopefully both of us are tired by the time we get home!
