Pet care experience
I've taken care of cats and dogs my whole life, with a range of complex needs including puppy care, senior care, and some behavioral training. I am familiar with all size dogs and comfortable with all breeds, mixes, and ages! I am currently in a professional degree at the University of Saskatchewan, and my academic and professional employment require a criminal record check/vulnerable persons check available upon request.

Emily is wonderful! She has looked after our large breed girl a couple times now on shorter notice and Jersey comes home all played out and relaxed. I KNOW she is getting all the walks and cuddles there. I'd book Emily again in a heartbeat!
Emily has been taking Bosco for his afternoon walks for a while now and she is still nothing short of amazing. She always sends updates and pictures and is always giving our boy the best care.

I currently live in an apartment building, however am close to several walking trails that are pet-friendly. The building is also accommodating to pet owners with amenities for dogs (i.e., a small dog run, lots of poop-bags, etc.). I have a large SUV as well, and am more than willing to take pups to local dog parks that are beyond walking distance. I like to get a sense of your pet's routines and rules for consistency with care, and where possible have instructions (including command words, rules for play, whether they are skittish around other people, etc.). I am always mindful that I am a guest in your pet's (and your) life/home so try to limit any disruption. I am flexible and adaptable, so as your needs change I can accommodate within reason. I have two cats in my home, and they are good with other animals!

Any special needs, routines, quirks, likes, dislikes, favourite toys, etc. I'd like to know as much as possible to make them as comfortable as possible!
A typical day
I have lovely walking trails in my neighbourhood for long walks, and I love to play fetch with balls/frisbees/etc. I love games and interactive toys for the colder days where walks aren't available to keep your dogs and cats stimulated and prevent boredom!

Availability
I am a full time student with a flexible schedule. My current classes are Tuesday and Thursday mornings, Friday afternoons, and have dynamic hours on Wednesday and Thursday devoted to client hours. The majority of my schedule allows me to be at home (meaning I have so much free time for walks, play dates, and check-ins!). I have an active lifestyle and would love to have any excuse to get outside and help someone out with their pet care!
