Pet care experience
As a lifelong lover of animals, I have years of experience caring for my own non-human family members and the furry families of others through my experience working in the veterinary field, involvement in animal rescue and adoption organizations, and independent pet care services. I have had a longtime interest in animal cognition, emotions, and body language, and have taken initiative to learn as much as possible about how to practice "Fear Free" handling methods and approach dogs in a calm, comforting manner. I am also a cat lover, and am happy to provide care for your feline friends as well as dogs. I truly understand how difficult it can be to leave pets behind when traveling or working, and am dedicated to creating a positive, low-stress experience for you and your pet when you are away. My abilities/services include: basic feeding, cleaning, grooming, administering medications, and walking/exercising. I am also available to provide overnight care as needed.

Emily stepped in at the last moment when my sitter for the holiday fell through. She checked in often and always sent photos of my pup so I know he was safe and well at home! She was extremely professional and trustworthy, and I will certainly use her again in the future! Thank you, Emily!

Emily did a phenomenal job of watching our 2 month old pup, Inola. She went through her feeding and potty breaks to see how we do it and did a phenomenal job checking in with us (the photos were such a great thing to get through my work day!) She was also very consise. As we're still working on potty training, it was great getting updates when there was an accident so we knew what to take care of when we got home. She's very attentive and calm—which is exactly what we need as we work on patience and not jumping on folks. Thank you so much, Emily!

I share my home with an Australian Shepherd/Heeler mix, so I have especially grown to love herding breeds for their energy and cleverness!

I am available to visit and stay with your dog(s) in their own home environment. When meeting a new pet family, I love to hear about your dog's favorite routes for walks, or favorite parks/nearby areas for outdoor play. I enjoy playtime that encourages positive behaviors and am happy to help out with ongoing training efforts or tricks you may be working on!
