Leave your pets with ease.

Pet care experience

I have been taking care of a variety of pets since I was young, starting with all my family pets and growing to watching family and friend's pets as they needed me. I currently walk dogs and help with overnight dog sitting whenever I can. I have volunteered and fostered with a rescue for 4+ years and have gained many valuable skills while working with dogs of all sizes, ages, and needs. I just adopted my most recent foster and have worked through potty training, basic commands, building confidence and much more with her. I want to be the one to make leaving your pet a stress-free and experience for everyone involved. The last thing you need when not with a furry friend is to constantly be worrying. Let me be there for you and your family members- young, old, small or large, dog or cat.

Emily is an amazing dog sitter!! She has a big fully fenced in yard and spacious clean house where your dog is very welcomed. I would not hesitate to book Emily again. Her pup is very friendly with me and my dog. Five stars and all the claps!

Please save yourself the time and stress and DON’T book Emily. This was my experience: -I planned a camping trip with out-of-state friends and family for August 24-28th and sent a request to Emily on August 4, who confirmed the same day. I also sent a request for Labor Day weekend (driving down to Ohio to see my brother and niece), which she also immediately confirmed. I figured it would be easiest to let her do both trips back to back and she could keep my key in between the two. -On August 8 I sent Emily a message and asked if she’d be available on either the 19th or 20th, Thursday or Friday, to come get my apartment key, meet my cat Mr. Poof, and receive instructions. I told her I would be at work for the rest of the current week. She said Thursday would work for her and she’d let me know the time as the day gets closer. -On August 11 Emily sent me a message that suggested we meet that Thursday (the 12th) at 3 pm. I replied that I guess there was a mix-up… as I said earlier I had to work this week but would be available NEXT Thursday. I thought it was kind of strange that she must not have written the date on the calendar. But people are busy, and I like to give them the benefit of the doubt. -I didn’t hear back from Emily at all about the meeting up on Thursday or Friday the 19th or 20th. Finally at 7 am on Friday the 20th I messaged and said could we still meet up today? If not, I'm also available next Monday or Tuesday (the 23rd or 24th). Emily said next Monday would be best and I said I’m available all day, just let me know the time. -On Monday the 23rd, Emily messages and tells me Tuesday at 5 pm will work for her. At this point I’m getting uncomfortable with the mix-ups and cancellations. But Emily has 5 star ratings so I figure it must be a fluke. I say Tuesday at 5 will be fine. -What a shock, I got a message at 2:34 on Tuesday (the day before my trip) that Emily can’t come at 5 because of a family emergency. Whether or not there actually was a family emergency…. Emily set a long precedent of cancelling and rescheduling and mixing up dates with me. I am VERY frustrated at this point. I tried to be flexible and understanding and got duped. Emily states in the message that she will be back from her family emergency tomorrow (the first day of my trip) and will be happy to still come. I say I don’t know how she would be able to get into my locked building. She suggested I either leave the keys outside for her to find or drop them off. I obviously have no interest in leaving the keys outside for anyone to find and break into my building. Dropping them off at her place seemed like an equally dumb idea… how could I be sure they keys will land in the right hands if no one is home and I’m just leaving them in some weird mail box? Needless to say I was uncomfortable letting a stranger in my home that I had never even met, and at this point did not believe for a second that she would actually show up. So, in the late afternoon before my very early day tomorrow (planning to leave at 5:30 am) I am forced to cancel with Emily and start from square one. Of course none of my friends or family is available at such short notice. Except my mom, who has thankfully agreed to drive an hour in each direction to visit with Mr. Poof two of the days I’d be gone. My mom has health problems and finds it difficult to get up and down the stairs of my second floor apartment, so this is not a plan I’m completely comfortable with either. But at least I know my mom will follow through. I also cancelled with Emily on labor day weekend and thank goodness my usual sitter was available to take that job. I only wish I had listened to my gut early on when Emily was showing herself to be an extremely unreliable person.
