Pet care experience
Having grown up on a farm in West Yorkshire, I am accustomed to caring and working with all animals. We had on average around 5/6 dogs at any one time in my life, mainly Labs but also English setters, Rottweilers and dog du Bordeaux’s! After moving to Nidderdale with my partner, we missed the animals so decided to get a lurcher pup. Therefore we have learnt a lot about high prey drive animals, so feel very comfortable looking after sight and scent hounds.

Emily is a brilliant dog sitter! She was attentive to our dogs needs and looked after her amazingly. Emily also really looked after our house and left it nicer than we left it!

We have a good sized fenced off garden for secure play and living in nidderdale we have access to some amazing off road and forest walks. The ground floor of our house (which is where the dogs will be kept) is all hard wood flooring so easily cleaned in the event of accident's, so we will happily take on puppies and assist with potty training!

If your dog has any quirky habits or dislikes please let me know. This won’t deter me looking after them but helps me make sure they stay safe and happy! Meet and greet usually required as my pooch Lady, will want to meet them first.
A typical day
We aim to do 3 walks a day! First thing in the morning we do a 15/20 minutes walk round the block to stretch our legs after sleeping all night! Following our walk we have breakfast, usually followed by a nap or play time depending on the energy of your pooch! In the afternoon we do a big walk, this is sometimes around the forest where it’s secure enough for an off lead run, depending on dog’s confidence with their recall!! Or a walk along the river for a splash, of course weather depending! These walks are always followed by a natural chew treat (rabbit ear, duck foot or pizzle, etc.) then a loooongg nap! Finally before dinner we do another 20 minutes round the block to have a last stretch before dinner and play!

Availability
Me and my partner work full time but am available over weekends and am able to work from home for a couple of days a week if needed. Advance notice of wanting to book would be needed.
