Home away from home care for one family at a time
Pet care experience
About - We mostly provide a home away from home service for your dog or family of up to 3 dogs at weekends - Friday evenings to Sundays due to our work schedule in the week. We also tend to cover bank holidays, Easter, Christmas, New Year etc. There is some scope to provide longer stays for established clients - so do let us know as we may be able to fit these in. Growing up there were always dogs present in my home. I love all dog breeds equally and I’m willing to learn about yours! I really enjoy making friends with all dogs and am happy to adapt to their needs. Whether they want to stick to me like Velcro, cuddle up for naps or just be given their own space. Our house is fortunately positioned somewhere very quiet but also right near green space in a very dog friendly neighbourhood. Myself and my partner will be looking after your dog usually together but sometimes I will be solo. I usually ask that we meet you all first - just a brief meet and greet to make sure your pet is happy with us and you are too! Peace of mind is very important. This will usually be at our home at a mutually agreed time. We are dog-sitting currently as we do not have our own dog. This way I get to meet lots of new fluffy friends and they get to have a little holiday in a home where their owner knows they will be looked after and happy rather than in a kennel which can be a little stressful for both owner and dog. I won’t leave your pet alone in the home during their stay and we only sit for one family per booking which is perfect if your dog(s) don’t get along well with others. I will update you as frequently as you want during your pets stay with us and photos will be provided. The back garden is completely fenced and secure. We mostly do walks around our local area but have taken dogs to local parks via car before - dependent on if they can travel by car and would always be run past the owner first. As we only accept one family at a time your dog or dogs will only ever be walked solo and not with others. We do know a lot of the neighbourhood dogs so if your dog does like socialising there will be plenty of friends for them to meet. Likewise if they don’t play well with others we will avoid them.
Reviews
Amazing again. Cooper loves going to Emily’s and he is so well looked after. Wouldn’t leave my baby with anyone else 😊
I have left my dog with Emily and her partner three times now and he is always happy to see them and well looked after. I would definitely recommend them.
Emily and Kieran are amazing hosts to our two. They are so well looked after, and spoilt, they never want to come home.
Emily and her husband are out dogs Foster parents. They treat them like their own. Amazing couple. Thank you.

Safety, trust & environment
Environment - Fully fenced garden to the rear - dogs have access outdoors all day. Usually walked twice per day for as long as needed - dependent on individual dogs needs. Dogs are kept on lead for walks. We sit for one family at a time up to 3 dogs and dogs are not left alone in the house by themselves so your family will get our full attention (occassionally they may be left for 20-30 minutes when we take longer stays on but this will always be agreed upon in advance with the owner first).

Information Emily R. would like to know about your pet
I love all breeds of dog - if I'm not familiar with yours I'll read up on them before we meet. I would like to know of any special dietary concerns, any problem behaviours (chewing, separation anxiety) and your general routine so we can keep it similar to what they are used to. Please do let me know if you're doing any kind of training with your dog (commands such as sit/stay) as we will carry it on with them if so. We absolutely love to encourage and give praise to clever boys and girls! Please also let me know if you are trying to get a dog out of any behaviours (don't worry we are happy to tell them no and be the bad guy if needs be) as we would like to carry on the same rules for them in our home so they don't get confused.
A typical day
A typical day spent with your dog(s) Dogs will be walked as long as they need - we will try to stick to a similar schedule of what they are used to but we love walks as much as your dog probably does so any amount of walks is good with us! We can play games like ball in my garden or with any toys indoors. Please feel free to bring as many things as you like. We have a small amount of toys here that your dog can play with including a kong treat hider, rope toys, balls and a wooden hide the food game. Dogs are treated like members of our family and given lots of fuss and attention - we like to think of it as them having a nice holiday as well as you :)
