I hope that this review finds pet owners looking for a potential sitter well. This review is being written from a genuine place of a fellow pet owner and sitter. If you are looking for a sitter that will be communicative then Emily is not the right fit. I booked Emily to watch my dog for Friday and Saturday. She would not provide updates/photos of my dog until I asked multiple times and would not answer my messages until 30+ minutes later. I had to contact rover support to get a hold of her in order to have her reach back out to me. I was in communication with Rover support on and off and spent my trip worrying about my pets safety due to Emily’s lack of communication. I dropped my dog off Friday morning and heard nothing from her all day and then around 12am she sends me a message that she can not watch my dog anymore. She does not explain why and then later says she overreacted and that she will be able to watch my dog. I personally do not trust this sitter and although she apologized for the incident that occurred during my pets stay she did not try to make things right on her end. The lack of effort and empathy on her end was very disheartening and ruined the first night of my trip. Thank god for Rover support who resolved the issues, made things right and were there every step of the way. There are so many deserving sitters on Rover who genuinely want to care for pets and ensure you have peace of mind. I have never had any issues on Rover and hope this review can help other pet owners steer clear.
