I'm Emily! I am a former librarian, current data scientist who recently moved to Austin. I have been on Rover for over 4 years, caring for animals with a range of ages, personalities and needs. I have watched well over 100 pets and have loved every single moment of it! I live in a house with plenty of space for running around. I co-own a sweet, quirky indoor/outdoor cat name Pierre. I have volunteered at animal shelters in the past and know the ins and outs of pet care. I enjoy animals both large and small and love a good play/walk session. I am empathetic towards animals and am proactive in regards to estimating what they need and when. I am excited to take care of you furry friend and will treat them with love and affection.

Emily was AWESOME! Highly recommend! My dog has a few little ~quirks and Emily took the notes I left seriously (even though I know they were a LOT). She provided daily updates and I always felt in the loop and my apartment was left in tip top shape, which is a great thing to come home to after a long vacation : )))
Emily stayed with our 2 cats for an extended period over the holidays, and we were so grateful they were in such good hands! She sent regular updates and photos, and even turned the house upside down looking for our one very shy and elusive kitty who did not want to be found. We highly recommend Emily and would love to have her come again!
Emily was so great with our dog. I would recommend her to anyone. She gave plenty of updates and took extra time to come meet him a few times before we left. 10/10 would recommend

I would prefer to know if they are high-energy and if they have any specific diet or exercise requirements or medical needs. I have cared for senior animals with health conditionsn so am well versed in admistering medication.
A typical day
I love going on longs walks, playing fetch, visiting the dog park, and a good cuddle session. I follow whatever schedule is set for your animal to the T. You will recieve a daily log from me at the end of the day and lots of pictures!

My work from schedule allows me to spend plenty of quality time with your pet and cater to their schedules. I am committed to being accessible so you will recieve daily updates, photos, and the occasional video. I am also available for plant care and other general house sitting duties.
