I was that teenager growing up who never wanted to babysit, so I was the neighborhood pet sitter! As soon as I was living on my own, I adopted my first rescue pup. Today, I have three rescue dogs, two rescue cats, two rescue bunnies, and a tank full of fish. When I'm not with my dogs, I'm working full time at a local college teaching writing. I have a Ph.D. in education, and wrote a dissertation that focused on how canine-assisted reading programs can support children's literacy development. I also have a small petwear business up and running where I make handmade pet wear (oliveandelishop) - we make appearances at local craft shows and markets. As you can see, I am a hardworking person who rarely rests, and love connecting with other local pet lovers and owners.
