Pet care experience
I was raised among family members who are dog trainers, dog rescuers, and own doggy daycare businesses on the east coast (Buffalo, NY). Interacting with dogs is second nature to me; I enjoy making sure dogs feel comfortable, safe, and are happy. I have always lived with dogs and since moving to Seattle have missed their companionship. Prior to moving out here I had about 1 year of experience dog sitting for multiple clients, many of whom were repeat, and many of whom were long term stays (3+ weeks). I built this clientele through word of mouth. I am happy to accommodate special requests (I've sang to dogs when giving them medicine before), work with difficult dogs, and show them all the love they deserve! During the week, I am looking to take care of dogs in the Ballard/SLU area so I can be more available to the dog between home and work, but am open to farther travel on the weekends as I have more free time.

Emily is so great. She has walked our pup Lilli and also stayed with her at our home. Emily is reliable, on time & a great communicator. I tend to need more info, and Emily is all over that - I appreciate her updates! When we see Lilli after she has spent time with Emily she is happy, content & well cared for. We are on Emily's calendar for a upcoming stay and will definitely use her again to take care of Lilli. I can highly recommend Emily for your dog sitting/walking needs.
Emily was great -- responsive, attentive and professional. She watched over my two pups, Jasper and Bailey, with care and attention to detail. They are going on 11 and 12 years old and both need some extra attention in regards to meds and diet which she navigated with ease. My pups were happy and relaxed when I came home from vacation - the best gift I could receive!

If so, over what (specific toys, the home, etc)? Is there a particularly effective way you deal with this? -Are they friendly with other dogs? People? -What is their routine (do they have regular poop times or go a certain number of times a day?)
A typical day
Depends on the dogs comfort with car rides and strangers. I always start by building trust with a dog that I will keep them safe. This means taking them to places they already know: your neighborhood, local parks, etc. Once this is established I am happy to bring them to more exciting places (time pending): larger parks around Seattle, weekend hikes I am going on, etc.
