Happy paws make my heart full!

Pet care experience

I have taken care of many kinds of dogs. I've watched up to 6 dogs at once for a week. I am trusted and relied on to feed, and care for pets. Including ones who need medicine or shots. I spend time with your pets to relieve their stress while you're away.

Emily did great with our animals, They were all happy and healthy when we got home. Would definitely recommend her services to anyone in need of a reliable and highly capable pet/house sitter.

At first I thought Emily was going to be a great fit. I have some chickens that needed to have a little kiddie pool filled up every day, and a few scoops of feed put on the ground. That’s all, that’s it. Turn on the spigot and scoop some food. She lives right down the road from me so it’s not like she had to travel. I told her I wasn’t quite sure when I would be heading back, and asked her if we could play it day by day. She agreed. I’m 900 miles away and I’m told that my pets have to fend for themselves because she no longer WANTED to do it. Not that she wasn’t ‘ABLE’, she just didn’t ‘WANT’ to. Needless to say…. I was mortified and I have never been so upset. I went on a trip that was the most devastating trip of my life, and then I had to deal with 2 sitters telling me they just no longer wanted to do it. I would never run my business this way as I have been on Rover for over five years myself as a sitter. Telling someone that I’m just walking away to leave their pets to fend for themselves for another week and a half, is absolutely unacceptable. I was gravely disappointed and disgusted. One of my ‘girls’ passed away. Instead of saying she was sorry for my loss, she made a big deal of having to put her In a bag so I could bury her when I got home. She left my poor Molly just lying under a tree. So when I got home, my poor Molly was rotten with maggots crawling all over her. Horrible trip, then to come home to that! If you’re going to take on a job no matter how hard it is or how long it is, if you agree to it, and you set your price, that’s how you run your business. You honor what you agreed to in the first place. I was very excited that she was going to be my sitter and was very excited to give her $100 tip when I got back. (As you have read, she did not finish the job.) I had to ask my sister to drive for an hour one way to take care of my pets after two Rover sitters backed out. I truly hope that you, Emily , matures enough to understand that when you takes on a job, especially with something that’s living, you have to finish it, or have someone as a back up that is willing to do the work. Emily, I’m so sorry it didn’t work out, but I was very disappointed and very hurt that you didn’t finish. My pets are so special to me. Everyone’s pets are part of the family! Everything was set up right by the back sliding glass door with the food right next to the feeding bin, and the kiddie pool right under the spigot. Please in the future, if you agree to do a job, do it well and make sure to see it through to the end.
