Experienced dog lover
Pet care experience
A dog lover from birth, I grew up with a dog and often took care of neighbors pets. After college, I worked with dogs full time as a dog walker/pet sitter for 2 years which along with my dog grooming certification has given me lots of experience with dogs of all sizes, ages and temperaments. I had to say goodbye to my own dog, Sawyer, after 13 years together and while I’m not ready to adopt a new dog yet, I miss having a dog around to play and take care of. I’d love to be able to take care of your pup and spoil them with walks and playtime so they come home feeling like they’ve had a vacation too. In addition to my previous professional dog experience and my personal experience I also frequently take care of friends and family’s dogs, which includes a mini dachshund who has a previous back injury, so I know how important supporting and keeping his back straight is.
Reviews
very responsible and great with pets!
Emily was an exceptional dog sitter. Her communication was excellent, providing updates and ensuring peace of mind while I was away. She clearly has a genuine love for dogs, as evidenced by the way my dog took to her immediately. I could tell my furry friend was well-cared for and loved during their time together. I highly recommend Emily to anyone in need of a trustworthy and caring dog sitter.
Emily is doing so good. Bobo had really good time there for a week. Definitely contact with her next time if I need someone take care of Bobo.
There is no one I trust more with my dog than Emily! She is a true animal lover through and through! She is very accommodating with my dachshund’s needs. She has ramps for him to go up and down stairs, and lifts him properly (if you’re a dachshund owner, you know 😉). I would recommend Emily to anyone in need of a pet sitter!

Safety, trust & environment
I have a small fenced in yard that is primarily pea gravel with a small mulched area. I would prefer to walk the dog/s for bathroom and primary exercise but have the yard for extra time outside and fresh air. My home is a 3-level townhouse with a short staircase to the front door. The main and basement levels are split, so there are a good amount of stairs. For senior dogs or, if your dog has limited mobility, I can block off the upstairs and the lower levels and they will still have a good amount of space in the kitchen and dining room. The dining room has an open railing so it’s still very connected to the living room and wouldn’t mean your dog would be isolated because of that. My own dog chose to keep to those spaces for his last 6 months with me.

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or behavioral concerns so that I can provide them with the most comfortable and safe environment.
A typical day
I’ll try to follow as much of your dog’s typical routine as I can. We will take walks around the neighborhood or by the lake and explore all the new smells to exercise them both mentally and physically. Lots of playtime, belly rubs and ending the day with cuddles on the couch (or floor depending on owners preference) are all part of the days agenda.

I work from home so the dog/s would not be left alone for any extended periods. I also have a pretty flexible schedule so taking dogs out for regular bathroom breaks is not a problem.
