I've dog-sat for people when they have been on vacation for a week and just for overnight care. I have stayed in a home where the pets are comfortable and can remain anxiety-free. I fed, exercised, and played with the dogs, so they always had fun with me.

I make sure the dogs get plenty of walks and playtime. If my client has a fenced backyard, I make sure the dogs get plenty of time outside, weather permitting. I follow the dog's schedule for feedings and anything else the client wants done, such as brushing or bathing.

A typical day looks like getting up in the morning and heading outside for a walk to go potty. Then we'll come back inside, have breakfast, and play around with a toy. There are always multiple naps throughout the day, as dogs like to sleep sometimes. We'll go in the backyard to play or go on another walk. We will play with dog puzzles or do a lick mat

I am flexible, so I can schedule 1-hour breaks into my work day if I have a schedule in advance. That is why I need two weeks' notice to schedule care.
