As a veterinary assistant, I am highly qualified to care for your furry pets in any realm! I’ve always had a love and adoration for animals so I promise I will treat your pet as my own. I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Biology with a Chemistry minor and an option in Pre-Veterinary Medicine from Oregon State. My goal is to be a veterinarian so I have come to understand a lot of dog and cat related biological functions as well as behavioral importance’s. I have dog and cat sat for family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers for 6 years and have loved every second of it. I own one cat and one dog in SoCal. I grew up with a lot rabbits and small rodents though. I’ve had just about any pet you can think of! I can also do just about any task needed from walking, feeding, bathing to hiking, dog parks, swimming, administering medications (injectables or oral), monitoring glucose rates, etc. I really do care about making sure your pet is happy and comfortable!

I can provide any services needed. My ten+ years experience in the veterinary field have allowed me to become adaptable to any situation and pet necessity. For example, if I housed a small dog they would live in my home as they would in there’s- I would keep their same feeding, walking, play, and exercise routines. The same would be for if I were staying at an owners house, I would keep it as consistent for the dog or cat as possible! I would also double check with an owner before taking any pet to the park or certain hiking areas. I would love a meet and greet first of course to make sure the owner and I are on the same page! Regardless though, your dog or cat will be well cared for and loved!

I am comfortably with all breeds of dogs and cats. I would like to know prior if they have any health needs, foods allergies, likes and dislikes, favorite places to be scratched, favorite toys, in need of daily medication administration, etc. Especially with dogs- I would like to know if they are comfortable with other dogs in case we interact with other dogs on our walks or at the park. Cats- it’d be nice to know if they’re friendly or scaredy cat so I don’t over stimulate them or if I can play with them when I’m over!
A typical day
I would love to get to know what your pet likes! Personally, I love taking my dog on long walks at the beach, we go on hikes and runs together. If you dog is as active as mine, I’d find some neat trails to explore! Or if they love dog parks and fetch, we can do both! If your dog is a homebody who loves to cuddle and play indoors, same goes! I want to get to know your dog or cat and their lifestyles so I may better suit their needs.

Availability
I work full time at a veterinary clinic nearby but have dog and cat sat many times while working here. I care for my own coworkers pets and friends nearby! I tend to either spend the night or visit their pets two to three times daily (I either go early in the morning before my shift and at my lunch hour, and/or after work). So, close proximity is a must for me to be able to visit as much as possible. I am able to stay over in peoples homes all days of the week!
