Is your dog reactive? What are their triggers? Bite history? How are they around children and other pets and are they potty trained? If your dog has anxiety, how do they like to be comforted? Are they given medicine for it? What are their food allergies? What are their known health issues? What is their feeding schedule? Are they trouble makers? (Peeing where they're not supposed to, chewing up things, escape artists? I need to know what to watch out to keep them safe!) I'd recommend setting a meet and greet prior to your time away just so I'm not a complete stranger coming into their home to baby sit them, and to make sure that I am the right person to be your pet's baby sitter! If your dog enjoys walks, we'll go whenever the weather allows, I'm a patient person so they can walk me wherever they want to go and explore all the smells and take their time sniffing every little blade of grass. I love teaching dogs tricks like speak, paw, and catch, or brushing up on tricks they already know, as a way for bonding and stimulation. If your pet's favourite thing is to just lay on the couch under a blanket and snuggle, we're going to be BEST friends.
