Pet care experience
I’m a dog mom to three amazing rescue dogs. My fiance Sean and I love them more than anything else in this world––they are our children. Sophie was Sean’s puppy even before we met 7 years ago. Since then, we’ve added Cooper and Sadie to our little family. Sean and I have always had dogs growing up, so it’s just a natural state for us to be surrounded by fur babies. It would be strange to not have them enrich our lives and bring so much unconditional love and joy. Although we’ve never worked as professional dog caretakers, Sean and I have many years of experience under our belts raising rescues, which has enabled us to understand some of their personality traits like shyness, separation anxiety, excessive barking, aloofness, etc. We will honor your pup’s personality and tailor our care to best suit your four-legged friend’s needs. We are patient, compassionate, and accommodating. As far as specific breeds, I’ve had a lot of experience with Chows, Pomeranians, Shih Tzus, and Chihuahuas, but am comfortable with all breeds, sizes, and ages. Although I’m not currently, I’ve volunteered in the past at local animal shelters. I was inspired to become a pet sitter after trying to find a sitter for my own three pups––we met with so many different people but felt that their dog experience (especially with rescues) was lacking. I also simply LOVE dogs and want them to have the best experience possible when their owners are out of town or otherwise unable to care for them, both short or long term! We want to offer your dog the perfect haven if they can’t be home, and you shouldn’t have to waste a second worrying if s/he is being looked after properly. As pet parents, Sean and I want to offer the level and type of service we’d want for our own pups. I work from home most days and if I do have to leave, it's typically for less than 3-4 hours at a time. Pups that stay with us will enjoy a brief walk in the morning (about 15 minutes), will have access to a dog door and yard all day, and will go for a longer walk in the evening (usually about 45 minutes). Also, your furry friend will have 3 awesome playmates to hang out with! When I'm not pet sitting, I'm likely spending quality time with my own pups (and occasionally my fiance). Other than being a good dog mom, I love to cook, hike, and do yoga.

Emily did a great job coming to my house and watching my two small dogs when I went away. She was nice enough to come over and meet them once before my trip to go over our routine. She had great communication whenever I needed anything. My dogs were super happy and normal when I came home. I can tell she took great care of them!!! Thanks so much Emily! Emily did a great job caring for our dogs!! We were at ease while away knowing that our dogs were in great hands! Emily even was kind enough to eater my flowers!! Thank you we will definitely be using Emily again when we travel :)
It was our first time using rover, and I'm glad I found this app! Emily was really good with our dog Kitkat. She constantly updates me while we were out on our vacation. When I picked up my dog, It does really seems she had fun with her stay at Emily's house. I will definitely ask her in the future for our another vacation.
My pups had a wonderful stay at Emily's! One of my pups is much older and gets a bit nervous in new places, but Emily was so sweet about sending me updates and making her feel right at home. She was constantly sending me pictures, and my pups were so happy when I picked them up. I know where they will be going next time I need to board my dogs!

I really want to offer you peace of mind that when you need a sitter for your beloved pup, you won’t have any doubts about the level of care you and your best friend will receive. Our three pups are super friendly and get on well with most dogs! It’s probably best to arrange a meet and greet so we can see if there are any aggressions or concerns. Again, they’ve never acted out when meeting another adorable dog, so this will be a quick formality. I’ll ask for the full rundown of your pup’s diet, walk preference, level of exercise/activity, medications, likes/dislikes, etc. The more information you can provide, the better! We’ll do whatever it takes to ensure your pup’s safety, health, and happiness. As a dog parent, I know how anxious it feels to leave your buddy with a stranger, so I’ll do my best to alleviate any worry. I’ll send regular updates by text, photo, video––whatever your preferred method.
A typical day
We live in North Redondo Beach on a quiet one-way street. Our house has a large open area downstairs with access to a dog door to a fenced-in backyard––it’s basically a human version of a doghouse paradise, filled with comfy couches, toys, and dog beds. Our dogs come and go as they please, so your pup can have his or her desired balance of outdoor and indoor fun. Since I work from a home office with a patio off of it, the dogs can hang out in the sun on the patio while I'm working. We love going on long walks with our dogs, as well as go to the dog beach or hit the trails for some hiking. Your pup will never be alone and will always be attended to as if s/he were one of my very own fur babies.
