Pet care experience
Hi there! I’m Emily, a young professional new to Colorado Springs. I moved here for a job with the health department and to enjoy the beauty and activities Colorado has to offer. Sadly, that means being thousands of miles from dogs I loved back in Pennsylvania with my family and friends. It would be a privilege to spend time caring for, walking, and getting to know dogs in this new town of mine. Those who rely on me for pet care know that I spend intentional time making sure their animal is physically and mentally stimulated, in addition to feeling loved and secure. I can’t wait to meet some new animal friends!
Reviews
Emily was great! She was communicative over the stay and sent pictures daily. She also took the pups on walks every day. My animals were well cared for and I had peace of mind with Emily caring for them.
Emily is extremely professional and an overall fun person to be around- we could instantly see how much she loves animals during our meet and greet. Louis and Laika were both very happy to have Emily stay with them- we received daily updates and pictures which is always so comforting. We will gladly use Emily again!!!
First time Emily watched our pup and she was fantastic! We look forward to next time - thank you!!
Emily was wonderful with my girl. This was the first time I left her and not with a friend. I had 100% confidence in Emily and Willow loved her. Got lots of pictures while I was away and updates. Also, my flight waa delayed many hours and Emily went back and took care of my girl. So greatful and will definitely use her again. ❤️❤️

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is always top of mind with me! Often I keep doors in the home closed except for the space that I can directly observe the animals. I am diligent about keeping food or other food-like objects out of reach for those pets that are especially curious. When we have time to unwind outdoors, my backyard is fenced in … no escaping on my watch!
Information Emily M. would like to know about your pet
To maintain consistency, I like to know your animals usually eating and bathroom break schedule. What toys are on and off limits indoors and outdoors? What are some commands that are most frequently used and I can employ to maintain good behavior? What signs should I look out for that your pet is tired or not feeling well?
A typical day
When caring for animals, I like to spend my time intentionally. Sometimes that looks like playing with indoor appropriate toys, going on walks around the block, or just cuddling on the couch. If your animal likes to be active, I would love to have hiking and running partner! Some of my favorite spots are Palmer Park and the Old North End of Colorado Springs for daily exercise.

I am lucky enough to have a hybrid work schedule. On Tuesday and Wednesday I am at the office from 8-4:30 with an hour break for lunch. This makes it possible for me to check in on your pets about every four hours at the most. I work from home on the other days so I am available for pet care or walks before work, mid day, and after business hours. I can also work from a different home location as long as there is reliable internet access. On those remote work days, the animals and I may be able to spend more quality time together. After work, I’m eager to get outside and exercise. If thats something your animal enjoys as well, I would love to bring them along!
