I’ve cared for dogs and other animals for as long as I can remember. It started with our own family dog and pet-sitting for neighbors while they were away. Now I have my own handsome pitty/German Shepherd mutt and am the go-to dog-sitter for family and friends. I accidentally became a dog walker when I volunteered to walk an elderly neighbor’s pittie when he wasn’t healthy enough to do so. I loved it so much, I wanted to expand to walk other people’s pups as well. I love all dogs, no matter the size, breed, or temperament. I have experience giving medications including insulin shots and have owned everything from an 8 pound Pom to a 100 pound Boxer-Lab. My current baby is a German Shepherd mix so I know high-energy ;) I’ll walk no matter the weather, as long as your dog is comfortable! I look forward to meeting you and your furry companion!

Emily did an amazing job caring for my cats! I received lots of photos of my cats and she always updated me on how things went after her visits. My boys enjoyed her visits and could tell they were all very well taken care of. One of my cats needed medication and she took the extra time to make sure he warmed up to her to, take it. I will be booking Emily again to care for my cats and I would highly recommend her!
This was our first-time leaving Bieber with anyone since our daughters passing last May 2023. Bieber has been a link to our daughter had helped us coup with the loss. Bieber is now about 15 years old and slowing down but still active. Emily did an excellent job of taking care of Bieber for 4 days while we accepted an honor from the American College of Radiology in Washington DC for our daughter. Emily kept us advised with each visit how Bieber was doing. She took excellent pictures of Bieber in all his activities. Her pictures far surpassed any that I have been able to take of him. We appreciate the work that Emily did with Bieber that helped to calm the anxiety that we had about leaving him while we traveled.
Emily did an outstanding job watching our 2 old cats. She sent pictures to me on each day of her visit with updates on their interactions with her. I would highly recommend Emily!

I'll follow all routines and expectations to a T. Your dog can expect lots of belly rubs and ear scratches, and you can expect lots of pictures and updates on your pup!

I’d like to know about the general temperament of your dog. How are they with other dogs and people? How do they respond to stimuli on their walks? Any reactivity? And quirks I should know? Any health concerns? I want to as much about your pup as possible to keep them safe, comfortable and happy!
A typical day
I’m happy to walk your dog wherever they are most comfortable. This could be around the neighborhood, or a local park or trail. I’ll make sure to stop for potty and water breaks and even throw a ball or frisbee if that’s what they love!

I currently work 7am - 3pm Monday through Friday. My afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays are open and flexible! I’m a teacher so I have more flexibility around typical school breaks (spring break, etc).
