Took great care of my dog, and provided daily updates.

I would not recommend Emily. We booked Emily to stay for a long memorial day weekend with our goldendoodle, Wilson. It was our first time having someone house sit, so we were a little anxious. Her communication didn't help us feel at ease. After agreeing she would, she failed to let us know when she arrived at our condo, kept in poor contact and didn't let us know when she left after her stay. Her communication throughout her stay was largely initiated by us following up. This could be overlooked, but what we came home to could not. Without our knowledge or consent, she sneakily brought another owner's dog with her to stay in our home. She double booked, hoping we wouldn't know. Our dog doesn't shed, but the uninvited dog came in and shed all throughout our home. Dog hair on our new, upholstered couch and all over every floor throughout our condo. She was supposed to occupy the guest bedroom, but allowed this dog in our master bedroom. It got up on our king bed and peed two giant pee stains (the largest close to 2' in diameter). The pee went through our duvet, duvet cover, blanket, sheets and all the way down into our new mattress and mattress cover. She tried to wash the bedding but failed to do it right, so the stains are all permanently set and our mattress is deeply stained with urine - something that can't be effectively cleaned. I also came home to 7 piles of bright orange vomit on our light grey carpet and Wilson was sick. Not sure if he caught something from the other dog or what. She also let the guest dog eat one of Wilson's toys, so toy fragments were found in 3 rooms, as well as every single light left on in the house before she left (lights on in rooms she had no business being in). To make matters worse, she later admitted to having someone here without our permission. She didn't mention any of the above, but rather, left a last message letting me know she had a great time. I then immediately messaged her, telling her what I found, and she took ownership of all of it and apologized (something I don't think she would have done had I not called her out). Who knows what else happened that we don't know about. In the meantime, I had to spend my time cleaning our carpet and de-hairing our entire condo. I'm still finding little hairs. The bed's damage, on the other hand, is a done deal. Not only did Emily disrespect us and our home, but put in jeopardy the safety of our dog. We don't know if the uninvited dog had it shots, if it got along with our dog etc... The dogs owner also didn't know their dog would be staying in a strangers house, which isn't fair to them either. I believe she could have cared less about us or our dog, but rather did it solely for the money. I now have to spend my time and money fixing the things she ruined because she was careless and deceitful. At the end of the day, I felt obligated to write a review warning other people who might potentially book her. After all that we went through, I would certainly want to know.
