Pet care experience
I've had cats all my life and lived with dogs many times, helping my housemates and family to look after, engage and exercise them, while keeping cats company and helping them feel safe and comfortable. I am available to visit, feed, play with and walk your pets, clean litter boxes, and stay overnight with them. I'm a teacher, so during teaching hours on weekdays I'm usually at school. Playing fetch, chasing artificial mice, getting pets and the chance to playfully attack my arm, and taking brisk walks will help occupy your pets when you can't be there. I understand that you don't want to come home to a house torn up by a lonely dog, so I do my best to clean up any messes. I'm forever a student of animal psychology, trying to understand the best ways of relating to each animal according to his or her temperament and history. I'm attentive to their needs and any changes in behavior that might signal illness. It's extremely important to me that animals live the best lives possible without harm from our industrial society.

Emily is a animal lover through and through and took great care of my dog, Wally while I was away. She was great with updates and I felt at ease being away while Wally was under her care. He seemed to really love her too! I wouldn’t hesitate to have Emily watch him again the next time I go out of town.
Emily has done such a great job petting sitting for us in the past. She watched our INSANE puppy ( I literally had 3 pages of directions for her to follow) and she did so, flawlessly. She is a real animal lover, as evidenced by how much she adores her own cat Paola. She always does a phenomenal job watching our cat an two dogs, even giving them medicine when they need it. I highly recommend her pet sitting skills! I only wish she still lived in California so we could have her pet sit for us again.
Emily is an extremely attentive and caring pet owner and caretaker of other people’s pets. She is a smart, reliable and a creative person that has a huge heart for animals. I saw this over the two years I was her neighbor. She loves her cat Paola and is very thoughtful of what would make Paola happy and healthy. She looked after her friend's pets and house sat several times in the neighborhood. When one of our neighbors was suddenly unable to care for their cat, Emily spent weeks going into our neighbors apartment not only feeding the cat, but spending time petting the cat and making sure it was not alone. Emily was able to organize a small group of neighbors to visit the cat so that it had some attention each day. She takes the well being of animals seriously and is very loving.
I live with Emily and I can personally attest to just how much care she shows her pet cat, Paola. From the genuinely warm greetings when she arrives to making sure she eats every meal - and just the right amount. She really seems to have a thorough understanding of Paola's needs, being very sensitive to her reaction to eating outdoor grass, as well as her trouble with windows, she goes well out of her way to make sure that there is nothing that could lead to Paola's harm. Lastly, and most importantly, she just really loves Paola. You can just feel it, ya know?
