Pet care experience
Hello, my name is Emily and I am an all around animal lover and Animal Professional. I would be happy to care for your pet(s) while you need to be away from home and provide them with my love and care. to tell you about myself, i have had a passion for animal for as long as i can remember because i have always been surrounded by them in my life. during my early teenage years, i briefly worked at a local pet store while also working at a horse farm taking lessons and being a “working student” which included helping with everyday chores around the barn and taking care of the horses. I became extremely dedicated to the “horse world” and decided to study Equine Studies and Sciences at Becker College for 5 years. during those years i intermingled my studies with large and small animal courses as i realized i did not want to focus on JUST horses. this gave me the opportunity to learn about various different species and breeds of large and small animals as well as the ins and outs of the Animal Industry as a whole. As of today, I like to focus my efforts into Animal Behavior, Balanced Dog Training and Animal Welfare Rights. I am working towards becoming a Professional Balanced Dog Trainer and to be able to work Virtually. Long story short, i basically focus my life around animals, espeically dogs. I have been around dogs since before i could walk and currently have 5 pets of my own, a dog, 2 cats, a rabbit and a lizard. with all of that being said, I am dedicated to providing your pet(s) with perfect care. I try my best to be as detailed during my visits as possible, especially during feeding and if i need to give medications as well as how the animal(s) seem to be feeling during my visits. I am very comfortable with administering the most difficult animal medication. with my knowledge on animal behavior, i try my best to make the nervous pets comfortable, even if that means ignoring them during my visit. (i will try my best to snap a decent picture of the pet so you know they’re okay). I am always willing to give my care and insight to the best of my ability. i would love to chat with you about animal care and visits. P.S. if you are a dog owner, i am more than happy to help with any training questions.
Reviews
Emily is amazing! She’s so attentive and good with the little details.
Emily was not quick to respond during initial date setting and price adjustments. When we met to introduce our cat for her drop-in services, she was kind and sweet. However on first day of drop-in, Rover card was not sent until the day after due to her reported technical problems and when it was sent, there was no information or narratives on it, only one photo. Second day, she forgot to drop in. I had to text her to ask because I didn’t get a Rover card. I am glad she was honest with me in saying it totally slipped her mind, and she still went to drop in at 9-10pm, sent a Rover card with a few more pictures but no narratives. While forgetting to drop in one out of the two requested dates was a disappointment, I appreciated her honesty and still visiting late at night. When I returned home, the front door was left unlocked. This was the breaking point for me—not reliable. Probably not ideal for drop-in services.
My nervous dog loved Emily on sight, even before she made it out of her car! Even though it was a hot day and Zaya didn't want to be outside, Emily hung out with her inside and sent me lots of great pictures. I was able to relax, knowing that Zaya was in good hands.
Emily was great! She helped me learn how to loose leash walk my puppy and I look forward to more training sessions!

I try my best to follow instructions given by owner on how to care for their pets. I ask questions such as certain times to be fed, any routines i should know about with the pet as well as a potty schedule. If medications need to be administered, what is the best way your pet takes them and the times. I will ask what the best places to walk in the neighborhood if that applies as well as a crating schedule. I will try my best to be as detailed as possible in the notes section of the Rover Card during my visits.
