Experienced with Shiba-tude
Pet care experience
I adopted my first dog only 3 years ago and even after everything on the internet told me NOT to get a Shiba as a first time dog owner....I did it anyway and I've never looked back. We've had to work with her typical Shiba Inu tendencies. From their Houdini escaping abilities, to their paws not allowed to be wet or touched, to her being independent and territorial I've gotten her to be a cuddly, well socialized, well trained young lady. Since adopting her I've successfully integrated 2 other dogs into the home and maintain a happy, healthy pack. My theory is if I can handle/tame a Shiba Inu, I can handle any breed. I have a fully fenced in yard in a quiet, dog friendly neighborhood in Havre de Grace. I have 2 dogs (a 3yr old fixed Shiba Inu, a 2 year old fixed lab mix) that LOVE making new doggy friends. I can walk dogs in my neighborhood, a nature trail, a dog friendly park, whatever you're more comfortable with. I can walk with or without my dogs, again whatever you're comfortable with. I have a minivan and can transport any size pup as needed.
Reviews
Emily is awesome!! My high energy golden retriever was sent home happy and ready for bed (with updates/cute pics in between). 10/10 will be using Emily again!
Fin really enjoyed his stay with Emily and her family. She took great care of him over the weekend.
Emily and her pack took care of my pup quite well - she was able to accommodate me in a relatively quick turn-around, and my mutt came home exhausted. Can't ask for anything more!
Very happy with Charlie's dog day care experience. Definitely recommend Emily. She sent text and video updates throughout the day.

I have a fully fenced in area of the yard for dogs and kids to play. I also feed dogs separately to avoid any resource guarding.

Information Emily L. would like to know about your pet
Having raised a Shiba Inu I'm familiar with dogs that love to get loose, are hand shy, territorial, and nervous in general. I will not turn away a "difficult" dog so feel free to be open and honest about your pup's temperament. I can make accommodations. With the layout of my house I can easily separate dogs if needed.
A typical day
I have a 4 month old puppy that isn't totally housebroken so our day starts at 5:30am, pups run around the yard for 20 minutes supervised from the sunroom or the kitchen window, Ronin goes in his crate to eat because he tries to eat the adult food and the girls try to eat his puppy food, I give him time to digest his food and then they go back outside for another 20 minutes or so. After we eat breakfast I get some basic training in with the puppy and let the dogs roam around the house and either relax or play. Unless they try to go out sooner, they go outside to play in the yard around 11 for 30min or so depending on weather. If it's ridiculously hot they don't stay out for more than 15 min. My yard has trees that provide shade which is nice and I leave the sunroom door open so they can come in there for water and shade as well. I take Riku and Rose on walks in the afternoon between 11 and 2. We've walked downtown HDG, Concord Park, Joe K Trail, the Ma & Pa Trail, Gunpowder and through our neighborhood. We are very respectful and I make sure to clean up after my pups and give passing pedestrians space.

Availability
I work from home with a very flexible schedule. It allows dogs to frequently come and go inside of the house. They're also able to spend longer periods of time outside of the house (weather permitting) supervised as I can see the yard from my office window.
