My parents always used to tell me they knew I would work with animals because I used to gather earthworms as my friends and bring them on the swing set with me. I grew up always having little furry family members (and the scale-y and swim-y ones). I went to school for zoology, and my passion is to work with animals and in outdoor education. I raised my puppy, Stormy, from 5 weeks old when I got her covered in fleas at a yard sale. A few years ago, I adopted a 13 year old Siamese cat who was almost put down twice before I got her. My dream, once I have a more permanent home and job, is to have my dog, my cat, and to get a crested gecko that I will name succotash, and a hognose snake that I will name Herb.
