The peace of mind you need is here!

Pet care experience

Anyone who knows me will tell you I’m happiest when I’m surrounded by animals! I am a Registered Nurse but for many years I’ve also kept busy caring for animals and helping clean houses as time allows. Being trusted to care for the furry family members of others and at times in their homes while they’re away is a huge responsibility that I do not take lightly. I would be honored to care for your pet and home the same as I would want someone to do for mine! If your pet is staying at our home, they can expect to be treated like family in a safe, loving home in the country with a fenced in backyard with space to run.

Shelby had a wonderful stay with Emily and her family. The demonstrated kindness and attention to detail was over the top. I also needed to change my dates last minute and Emily was able to accommodate these changes without missing a step. I am 100% satisfied with my experience, and plan to re-book with Emily soon. Thank You. Dan

Emily was incredibly kind and went above and beyond in taking care of our cat while we were away. Our cat is very skittish and has anxiety but absolutely loved her!!! Emily sent us videos and photos every single day and took the best care. I would definitely highly recommend her. She is very clearly a pet lover, has years of experience, and I don't think you'll ever find a better caregiver out there!!

Safety, trust & environment

As I mentioned I live in the country with a fenced in backyard. I have 2 friendly schnauzers to keep your pet company and if needed they can be outside in the front yard while your pet is in the fenced yard. I have a fairly large crate with a cover if this is something you feel your pet would prefer to feel safe at night or while I am briefly away. I am not someone who likes to crate a pet when not needed so you can rest assure that if I have your pet staying with me, it will be on days that I plan to be available to spend time with them and limit my time away.

Information Emily K. would like to know about your pet

The more you can tell me about your pet the better! As a Registered Nurse I am comfortable with basic medical needs and I have good critical thinking skills in the event that your pet experiences an unanticipated medical concern. I am willing to care for a variety of pets, however those that are in my home will need to be safe around other animals and children.

A typical day

In my experience I’ve found that each dog is truly unique and they don’t all handle being away from family the same way. I like to meet the needs and energy levels of each dog and I’ve found that when a dog is worried to be away from home, a good walk for exercise or some play time outside can really help! I have lots of space at our home in the country to fun outside and we also live quite close to an official dog beach if this is something you’d be comfortable with your dog experiencing. When not in the fenced yard, I keep all dogs on a leash for their safety and I am very mindful about exposure to other unfamiliar pets for their happiness and safety.
