Pet care experience
I began dogsitting when I moved in with my former roommate and her dog Silas, the 10-lb morkie/love-of-my-life, 9 years ago. I took care of Silas while my roommate was away, and I quickly began helping other friends out with their four-legged children, too. Since then, I’ve become a regular pet caretaker through independent services, Rover, and while traveling with my husband through another pet care/home care service. In fact, my husband and I just returned back to Nashville from 9 months of international and domestic travel, as we basically pet-sat our way around the globe! I am experienced in caring for both cats and dogs, including puppies, older dogs, dogs and cats who require specific diets and medications, and even those rascally escape artists! I truly love dogs and enjoy caring for them. I’d love to meet you and your fur baby, and see if I’m a fit for your pet care needs!

Emily was amazing! Lucy and Riley loved her from the very first meet & greet. Emily took care of my dogs and home while I was out of town for a week. She sent pics and updates to let me know that everyone was doing great. She also kept the house spotless. I will definitely have Emily back again.

Emily is an excellent dog caregiver who pays attention to detail and the needs of our sweet dog. I like to know a bit about a dog’s personality before stepping in as a caregiver. For instance, are they snuggly and cuddly? Are they shy and needing a little extra attention? I also like to know if your little guy/girl is an escapee and what I should do to find them if they run away for a couple of minutes. Any other special needs or things to care for would be nice to know, as well. I don't have breed preferences (although my husband and I both ADORE King Charles Cavalier Spaniels), but I will not work with dogs that have a history of biting people or other aggressions. If I don’t believe that I’ll be a good fit in working with you or your pet, I will definitely be clear with you in letting you know that.
A typical day
We will go on neighborhood walks and, if the dogs are allowed to take trips in the car, we can visit any of Nashville's beautiful parks. Lake Radnor's paved trails are my personal favorite.
