Pet care experience
I’ve cared for dogs for the past 8 years. As a teenager, I raised a puppy who successfully went on to become a guide dog assisting a blind person. Since then, I have helped my brother raise another guide dog. I have also watched many different dogs over the years.

Emily clearly has a lot of experience with pets. She came in with a calm and confident demeanor and our puppy instantly was comfortable with her. She was very attentive and was amazing with him. Definitely recommend her.

Over the last two years, I’ve seen how excellent Emily is with dogs! When I met her, I was afraid of dogs and had no intention of getting a pet. After watching her care for the two family dogs and hearing about how she raised a guide dog at a very young age, I’ve fallen in love with dogs and hope to get one in the future. Walking dogs with her is always such a fun time as she has good awareness of the dog’s exhaustion levels, walks routes that are safe and spacious, and is up to walk however long the dog would like to go. Emily is the perfect person to care for and/or walk your dog, and I highly recommend you choose her for the next time you need someone to help out!

I have a black lab (who was raised as a guide dog) herself) who is incredibly friendly and playful and will keep your dog company. I have a spacious apartment for dogs who stay with me and I can easily crate dogs if desired.

A typical day
I love to take dogs for walks and let them explore new areas, including a park by my house where several friendly dogs often play. I also love to include fun practice of basic skills (sit, down, stay, etc.) both on walks and whole at home.

My work schedule is very flexible and I work less than 40 hours a week as a lab technician so I have plenty of time during the day to care for dogs.
