Pet care experience
Hello! We’re Emily and Jay and we have over 8 years of experience caring for dogs and cats. We’re new to Rover but not new to pet sitting - we both had pets growing up, and for the last 5 years we have cared for a Labrador/Hound mix. We have experience giving oral medication, treating tummy troubles, and caring for a senior dog. We went on lots of adventures with our dog, Sydney (see photos!) We recently lost her to cancer and have a lot of free time now to give to other pups. We know how hard it was to leave her with sitters, so we'll be sure to send lots of pictures and updates. We want your dog or cat to be comfortable, happy, and relaxed while you’re away, and will do everything we can to make that happen!

Emily and Jay were perfect sitters for Ruby! They were very proactive with setting up a meet and greet and really cared about Ruby’s specific needs. They were super communicative during the stay and we got lots of cute pictures. Drop off and pick up were a breeze. This is the first time we’ve ever picked Ruby up after a sitter where she is totally relaxed and content, rather than stressed out. We are so grateful for these two!
Emily and Jay were great watching my pup while I was out of town for a long weekend. They were comfortable watching him and walking him even though he can be reactive toward cars and other dogs. They took care to avoid these scenarios and kept him company while I was away. 🐶

Red seemed to have a great time with Emily and Jay! I felt really comfortable leaving him with them, and appreciated the many pictures I received on my trip! I will be rebooking with them in the future.

Our apartment is clean, tidy, and neither of us smoke. We will never walk your dog off-leash and will avoid dog parks out of caution. We’re happy to let pets up on the furniture and are very diligent about any food allergies, restrictions, and giving medications if needed.

A typical day
We love taking walks around the Baker and Washington Park neighborhoods, visiting the farmers market, and going on hikes. We're happy to bring along your pup if they’re the adventurous type! Or, if your pet is the couch potato type, we're happy hanging out at home and catching up on sleep.

Availability
Emily works from home at least 3 days a week, and Jay works from home full-time. One of us will always be available for walks every few hours.
