Pet care experience
I have been a dog person since a very young age. From my first family dog Kohl, a German Shepherd, to the most recent Boston Terrier, Spike, (who are both no longer with us) I have loved their sweet innocence and playful demeanor. I also have helped take care of my fiancé’s family dogs, an adopted Pugweiler named Jack and a Dachsund mix named George. Now having my own pup, Henry, a Pitbull/Cattle dog/Border Collie mix, I am well aware of the high energy required to take care of mostly any dog (even when he just wants to relax under the bed all day). I have had experience with dogs of all kinds (mostly medium dogs) for the majority of my life (28 years). I love meeting and interacting with new dogs and I would take care of your dog as if it were my own. I love going on walks on nature trails, to parks, or simply through the neighborhood. I would love to take your dog along on an adventure (and give them a belly rub or 2!). Can’t wait to meet you and your pooch!

Emily is as great with my dog as she is with hers. When I am working she comes and entertains my pup with a walk and a bit of positive reinforcement training. She plays well with dogs and is very caring for all types of animals.

While I am unable to do pet boarding at my house, it is of the utmost importance to me to take care of your dog in your own home as if it was my Henry. I respect any instructions or specifics laid out to me and make sure to make your dog feel as comfortable as can be with me.
Information Emily J. would like to know about your pet
It is important for me to know the age, size, and behavior of your dog. While I do have experience with dogs of many ages, I do not have much experience with larger dogs. Being a smaller person it is important for me to know about any of their behaviors that a person of my stature may not be able to handle (leash pulling, if they need to be lifted, etc).
A typical day
I love to meet a dog and see where their energy takes us. Some dogs like to go outside briefly and then come back in to cuddle. Some dogs like to play fetch in their backyard and after years of having a dog whose main priority was a tennis ball, you might call me a professional. Other dogs like to go on long walks and sniff all the smells. Whatever your dog prefers to do, I will make sure they have my full attention.

I currently work part time in the afternoons so I have plenty of time earlier in the day to dedicate to my dog Henry and other dogs.
