Growing up with dogs played a huge part in my life. I think I'd always been an animal lover, but something inside of me changed when we got our first set of dogs as a kid. At the time, I was 6 years old and we were bringing a lost cat to the shelter. It was there that we adopted Hank and Betty, who were mixed Golden Retriever and Samoyed puppies. As the oldest child, I was responsible for feeding them and walking them and they lived to be 12 and 16 years old, respectively. That early experience caring for these large dogs taught me not only that I am a "dog person" but also how to interact with dogs and keep them safe and happy. For almost the last twenty years, I have been caring for dogs, both my own and other people's and enjoy it immensely. My availability is flexible right now because I just moved to Austin, so I am free most days of the week. I am able to house/pet sit, dog walk and do drop in visits.
