In-home play groups for small dogs!
Pet care experience
My experience with professional pet care began at 14 years old, when I volunteered my time at a neighbor's in-home dog training & boarding business. I cleaned kennels, walked dogs, and soaked up as much knowledge as I could. My passion and interest in dogs grew, and I dabbled in a variety of training and sporting opportunities with my personal dogs. We've tried our hand (and paw) at agility, weight pull, luring coursing, dock diving, and obedience. I spent a year working at a dog daycare and boarding facility, where I supervised packs of up to 30 playing dogs as once. I was responsible for intake/discharge procedures, food preparation, and medication administration. The past three years I have regularly fostered dogs and kittens for the local animal shelter. My fosters have varied from moms with puppies, dogs recovering from being hit by cars, and dogs with behavioral or medical issues.
Reviews
Emily is the best! I’ve boarded my dog with Emily twice now and wouldn’t go anywhere else. She sends me regular video and photo updates and does whatever it takes to make my pup comfortable. I’m always really anxious when I leave my dog but Emily takes such special care of her that I can actually relax and enjoy my time away. She even hand fed my dog kibble because she wasn’t showing interest in her food. Can’t rate her highly enough!
We really could not have chosen a better baby sitter for Seven. The amount of care, attention, and love that Emily showed to our dog deserves more than 5 stars. We were away in Mexico for a week and we could not have enjoyed our vacation without the assurance of our puppy being in good hands. I think Seven may have made some lifetime friends (Emily, and her doggies). Seven looked so happy in all of the pictures and videos and it filed our heart with joy to know that our pup was having just as much fun as we were while we were all away from each other - it was almost as if Seven was on a vacation, too. :)
Finding a suitable sitter for my pup is of the outmost importance when I go out of town. The level of stress and anxiety I feel when I leave my my dog Jon Snow is at times crippling. The level of joy and relief I feel leaving snow in the care of Emily is immaculate to say the least. Snow suffers from separation anxiety so much when I leave that he will not eat until I return. I’m told by others who have watched him that he get extremely depressed. With Emily he is as happy as always. Emily has no issues preparing Snow’s strict food content as he is on a homemade high protein diet. She is impeccable with pickup and drop off times and sends me regular updates and pics of her Walk adventures with snow. Emily is a savior and I would highly recommended her if you are looking for an animal guru to care for your fur baby. Thank you so much Emily!
Emily is a absolutely amazing and caring person, she has watched my German Shepherd many times and every time he saw her, he would be so happy to see her! “I think he liked her more then me ha” and when I got more dogs she has taken care of all three of my dogs. I never have to worry when Emily has my dogs, she has fabulous dog handling skills I would trust her with any type of dogs. Emily is the only person I would trust with my dogs. As a Dog Trainer myself I’m really picky who can watch my dogs.

My girlfriend Chris and I live in a 1,400 sqft home with a spacious, fully fenced backyard. We have four dogs of our own: three littles & one big! All of our dogs are friendly and social; they do great in group play! Our large breed dog is 80 lbs and boisterous, so he would be kept separate from visiting pups as to not overwhelm them. The three female little breed dogs are like a mini doggy daycare situation of their own, and would be welcoming and engaging with guest pups! All pets are allowed on the couches and our bed, plus we have a "dog room" with crates to allow for separated meal time and nap time if needed. If your pooch enjoys playing with water, we have a doggy pool to cool down during the summer and plenty of toys to share.

Information Emily I. would like to know about your pet
My in-home (hosting) services are only available to small breed dogs at this time. Please let me know if your dogs has any medical needs or dietary restrictions. I would also like to know if there are any behavioral or training concerns, so I can modify my handling to accommodate them. Does you dog try to rush out the front door? Do they dig under fences? Do they chew cords? Do they need to avoid jumping? Are they scared of the vacuum? All of these considerations help me to make sure your pet has the best (and safest) time ever!
