Along with caring for dogs, I am also a part time pet portraitist in the Historic Essex area. Animals have always been a passion for me, and while I have free time over the summer, I would love to be able to spend it with your furry members of the family. I've always grown up with animals of my own, including: rodents, birds, fish, reptiles and dogs. No dog is too small or big for me, with almost 6+ years of volunteer experience from my local non-kill shelter, as well as 10+ years with my own dogs. At the shelter I was responsible for dog walking, kennel cleaning, feeding time, along with some basic obedience training. Throughout my 4 years in high school I attended a specialized 4 year small animal science program which included: dog behavior & psychology, advanced dog grooming, dog training, animal nutrition, canine physical exams, wound management, and canine CPR. I am currently a full time student at the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts, studying for my BFA in illustration. I hope to make pet portraits and animal care a lasting career.
