I have grown up around large dogs my whole life (my childhood dog was a rottweiler), and I used the knowledge from that experience to start dog sitting. Now that I'm in college I work part-time at a dog shelter in Williston, VT. This job has given me a new found love an appreciation for the care and wellbeing of dogs. I've gained experience in administering medicine, handling food and territory based aggression, and working on basic obedience training. I draw upon all of these skills each day I work and any other time I encounter a dog in my life. It has helped me develop a more meaningful and fulfilling relationship with these animals and I'm anxious to start working with them more in my free time!
