Dog Mama and Pet Lover New to Area
Pet care experience
I've been pet sitting in and around my hometown since I was 15. I absolutely adore animals and have a 2 year-old Golden Retriever of my own. He is goofy, energetic, loving, and most importantly - my best friend. I just moved to the area and have not started full-time work quite yet. I thought Rover would be a great way for me to make a little bit of money while doing something I absolutely love. I have experience with a range of ages and breeds, and with providing drop-in, dog walking, overnight, and boarding services. I am active, hard-working, caring, responsible, and above all, crazy about animals.

Emily is a true animal lover. She is the "go to" sitter in our vast village of friends and family. We love her as much as she loves our animals.
Emily is an exceptional pet sitter. Our German Shepherd is on a strict diet and takes medicine daily. We also have an outside cat who is fed twice a day. So, we're kind of high-maintenance. Emily has been extremely conscientious and we have a great deal of trust in her to care for our pets and stay in our home. When we were away Emily sent us pictures and updates daily. When I checked in with her she was quick in her response. I know that she goes out of her way to spend quality time with my dog and it shows in how happy he is to see her visit. We feel very blessed to have someone like Emily to count on to take care of our fur babies and it gives us tremendous peace if mind.

I am currently unable to board animals in my own home. In my client’s homes, however, I am willing to go to whatever lengths necessary to keep animals happy and safe. Generally speaking, I work with clients to ensure that I am caring for each pets' individualized needs.

Information Emily H. would like to know about your pet
It is very important for me to know whether pups are dog-friendly or not. My fur baby is currently not with me, but I would like to resume boarding once he arrives on island and need to ensure that other animals will get along with him. This is also important to me so that I can plan accordingly for walks and other outings. Another important detail to note ahead of time is whether dogs require any special care or medication. I have experience with senior animals and with providing medication, but a heads up is always appreciated.
A typical day
As I stated previously, I am willing to go to whatever lengths necessary to keep animals happy. Depending on the allowances of the area, I would love to take pups on walks by the beach. I would also be more than happy to find dog parks nearby for fun, fetch, and socialization. Personally, my fur baby and I love to explore new areas via short and long leash, play fetch, practice off-leash skills where allowed and safe, and continually train old and new skills every single day!

Since I am not working full-time at the moment, I have availability every day of the week. I have a reliable vehicle which allows me to travel throughout the island, and I am very flexible with dates and times.
