Pet care experience
During my PhD, I frequently watched my friends dogs in Manhattan. I particularly loved the big dogs. I am an attentive walker and can handle reactive and strong dogs. I have experience with German Shepherds, Dobermans, and Argentinian Doggos to name a few. I am an active person and if your dog enjoys it I will take them on my runs (approx 2-3 miles). I live in a three bedroom home with my retired parents (who are also dog lovers). We have a fenced backyard so your pup will have room to stretch their legs and play in a safe environment, but also plenty of AC inside to cool off in.

Emily was amazing to work with. I felt so comfortable leaving my dog with her as a new client. She sent me pictures and updates to let me know how my dog was doing. My dog went and had the best little vacation of her own with Emily. I would highly recommend Emily to anyone and I look forward to working with her again soon.
Emily was great & left daily updates for my high energy pup. I messed up and forgot his food and toys, but Emily graciously went out and purchased some & I reimbursed. Nice family!!

Emily is a dog-whisperer. She has cared for our German Shepherd Fritz many times and from the moment they met, it was a match made in heaven. Fritz can be rather - well - loud, one might say - and sometimes difficult around other dogs. Emily's knowledge, love for animals, and overall comfort with dogs puts Fritz at ease and makes his walks and playtime enjoyable rather than stressful.

I now also have a large crate (42x28x30) for any pups that need a crate for rare instances where everyone is out on errands or at a doctor's appointment.

Dog friendly dogs only: I often have a few dogs from the neighborhood who come for doggy day care throughout the week. Please only submit a request if your dog is okay being around new dogs. Training: I know there are many different training styles and commands so please let me know what you already do so I can continue to reinforce and train in your individual style!
A typical day
I always start the day with a walk around our quiet neighborhood and maybe some fetch in the backyard. I want your dog to be comfortable, so let me know what schedule they are used to and what games they enjoy. I live fairly close to the Pelham Mill dog park, so if your pup enjoys socializing, I can bring them there in the evenings.

I just finished school and am taking a break before going into the work force. I am almost always home and am available over the weekend. My availability makes me particularly useful for dogs that need frequent attention.
