Growing up, my parents never let me have any pets of my own. This led me to pet sitting and eventually dog training! Starting around the age of 10, I began caring for all of the neighborhood dogs. The second I had the space and resources, I adopted my first dog, Samson, a Rottweiler / American Bully mix. It was through owning Samson that I fell in love with training. I eventually went to work for KeenDog Training, a NC/SC based company, and spent a few years working as a trainer. During this time I got my second dog, a Malinois named Xena. I both dogs have been trained in scent detection (including imprinting them on narcotics), barn hunt, tracking, and dock diving. They’re the lights of my life! In the summer of 2022, I moved to Colorado. I still work remotely for KeenDog as their office admin, but I stepped back from training full time to spend more time with my now one year old son. I’ve missed working with dogs and I’d like to get back in the game part time. I want to do more than just walk your dog, though. I want to help you raise your dog to be the best that they can be. Individual needs will defer, but I’m happy to help improve your dog’s lose leash walk, establish clear communication through markers, teach new behaviors, hold your dog accountable for known behaviors, etc. Dealing with issues like reactivity or over-arousal?
