Pet care experience
Hello! I have loved animals all my life, which is why I went to Iowa State University to get a bachelor’s degree in Biology! While at ISU, I helped run the Insect Zoo, caring and presenting all sorts of arthropods. This year, I cared for a variety of small animals at the Raccoon River Nature Lodge in West Des Moines as a Parks and Recreation Program Director (Insects, reptiles, rodents). I have several years of experience caring for dogs and cats. I love learning new things and am always reading up on new studies to take the best care of my pets as possible. I have raised many kittens from birth and have experience giving medications to senior cats and dogs. I’m willing to learn anything in order to ensure the comfort and safety of your pet while you are away.

Availability
I currently have one cat at home, Luna. She is fed twice a day, morning and evening. She gets hours of cuddles and play time and always has a clean environment to thrive in. My husband and I currently work from home, so she gets a ton of attention! Starting next spring, I am about to get a lot more animal care experience! My husband and I just bought a farm and plan on adding livestock to the family in 2024. We have almost five acres to run and play on while your pet is here.
