I’m Em (she/they). I have more than 2 decades of experience caring for dogs, cats, and other animals of all different ages, sizes, and breeds. I have taken care of multiple animals at the same time, including house pets and farm animals. I work in mental health and have experience working with therapeutic animals (dogs, cats, service animals), equine therapy, and more.

A typical day
I do different activities with pets depending on what their likes and needs are. Some things I enjoy are going on walks, hikes, jogs, playing fetch, playtime, etc. I enjoy going to trails near my house like the River Walk in the River Arts District, parks like Richmond Hill and Carrier Park, French Broad Dog Park. I also like to use the App AllTrails to find dog friendly hiking spots around the area.

Availability
On my days off, I can provide care for your pet(s). I prefer to know if I’m pet sitting a few days ahead of time but in some cases I may be available to do same day visits or over night stays- this really depends if I am working or not. I appreciate direct, transparent, honest communication. I am open to negotiating pay rates and being flexible with scheduling.
