Pet care experience
I grew up in a busy household with 2 cats, a dog, and a rabbit (2 at once a few times). I have always been an animal lover and even volunteered at SpokAnimal for a year in highschool. I currently own 4 cats of my own and a hedgehog, just waiting for the right time to add a dog to the mix. I often prefer larger breed dogs and am pitbull and restricted breed friendly. I actually was active on this app with a few repeat clients but due to some personal reasons I had to take a break. I have experience training my own cat to sit, spin and beg for treats so I would be happy to continue training while you are away! I send many photos and videos because I know what it is like to be away from your fur babies. I am willing to pet sit multiple pets even of different species. I have limited experience with farm animals such as horses, goats, and chickens. I currently own a hedgehog and have experience pet sitting for sugar gliders.

We just can't say enough about how much we love Emily! She takes such good care of our pups, shares updates and photos frequently and is always up for our odd (and sometimes short-notice) requests. Our dogs always greet her with much enthusiasm, and she always leaves our home as well, or better than we left it. We're so glad to have her as part of our extended family!
Emily was a great walker for my dogs. She was really good about taking pictures and she would even play fetch with one of them. She always let me know if she wasn't able to make it. I highly recommend her.
Emily did an amazing job looking after our dog and cat. She was in constant communication with us and made sure to send pics throughout her stay. Can’t wait to book her again!

I follow your exact directions. I know from experience that each person cares for their pets differently and I believe it would be a mistake to apply my personal practices to your own animals. However, I am a gentle teacher and will never be comfortable applying force or physical punishments for corrections. Because I have pets of my own I am unable to have animals stay at my own home.

Please let me know about any aggressiveness towards new people, children or other animals, how they are on a leash, training level, and any special accommodations such as medication. I am pitbull friendly (love them actually) but I don't have too much experience with them although I'd love to learn.
A typical day
I love to walk around neighborhoods but also travel to parks if they are nearby. If the dog is trusted off a leash we could play fetch assuming there are no other dogs or hazards that could cause them harm (although I tend to avoid this as it is unpredictable how a dog will respond without their owner present). I enjoy taking them for car rides places and do my best to never leave them home or alone longer than I absolutely have to. I also enjoy yard games with them.

Availability
I work from 8-4:30pm Monday through Friday. On the third Tuesday of each month my schedule is a little less certain because I have a work meeting with our Board of Trustees. I always keep my calendar on here up to date with my availability.
