Both my husband and I grew up with dogs and cats our whole lives, and have cared for a wide variety of breeds, sizes, and ages. We currently have a 4 year old golden retriever (Jetty) and a 2 year old lab mix (Hadley). We are experienced with crate and potty training pups, as we got both of our dogs when they were very young and also grew up training our childhood dogs. We have cared for several different neighbor’s dogs in the past, and love having the extra pup or two to play with. We also have specific experience caring for older dogs that require routine medication administration and special love and care, requiring a bit more attention than normal. Additionally, we have cared for dogs with severe anxiety both separation induced and not, and understand that every dog is different and requires unique care! We love spending time outside and have a nice fenced in backyard for our pups to play in. While Jetty prefers to stay inside, cuddle, and eat snacks, Hadley loves playing with other dogs outside; so, regardless if your dog is super active or more laid back, they will be in good company either way! Both of our dogs play very well with other dogs. My husband and I both work full time, but are available on Friday evenings and all day on the weekends. When we care for animals at other houses, we make sure to keep them on sidewalks or quiet streets and, if a fenced in yard is not available, we keep them on leads or leashes, depending on what they are used to or comfortable with.
