Lived with dogs my whole childhood

Pet care experience

I've been around dogs my whole childhood. I love to be outside and care for dogs. I have a passion for animals that most people don't have. I have a six year old golden retriever and an almost two year old German Shepard. I've always been good with animals and my family and friends always come to me if they have questions about their pets. I have been dog sitting for friends and family for about ten years and have been working here on Rover since early 2018. I am a full time online college student at Southern New Hampshire University working towards my bachelors degree in criminal justice. Although I am a full time student, my schedule is still very flexible and I am available for bookings Monday-Fridays 7AM-3PM. As a pet care provider, I aim to give your dogs the best care, affection and attention I can give. I am looking forward to working with you and your dogs!

Emily has done a fantastic job taking care of Abbie! She responds quickly to requests and doesn't hesitate to ask questions if she needs to! We're so glad to have found her on Rover!

Emily is a true dog lover. She has cared for dogs in her of her own for 8 years now. She also has cared for her grandparents dogs when they vacation. She is responsible with walking, feeding and caring for dogs in every way. The most important thing is that she truly loves dogs.

Safety, trust & environment

As a pet care provider, I intend to give the best care I can give. As summer is upon us, I always let my clients know that I do not like to walk dogs on pavement when the outside temperature is above 75 degrees. When the pavement is hot, the pads on dogs paws can burn very easily! If you’d like me to walk your dogs throughout the summer months, please inform me of any paths that I can walk them on hot days!

Information Emily F. would like to know about your pet

I always ask the owner about any behavioral issues their dog may have ( trouble walking on a leash, anxiety, jumping). I also ask basics: are they allowed on furniture, are they allowed to chew on bones ( what kind would you prefer if so ), what time do they eat and how many times, do they need to be on a leash or do they stay in the yard, how often do they go outside and if they have any allergies. I also ask if the owner prefers I walk the dogs on the street or on local paths. If they prefer me to walk them on the street, I will let them know that I do not walk dogs on pavement if the outside temperature is above 75 degrees, as it can burn the pads on their paws.

A typical day

I have been watching dogs for a very long time! I love being around dogs. I think exercise is important, and for puppies, it’s even more important to include playing in that daily exercise! I love to be outside with dogs, whether I'm walking them, throwing a ball around or just relaxing in the sun.
