Pet care experience
I’ve had dogs and cats since I was 4, and I have dog sat and cared for many sizes of dogs, from 10 lb Yorkies, to 130 lb Mastifs. I currently have cats, and I’ve cared for many other types of animals as well (like snakes and horses!). I have experience with puppies, adults and senior animals. I love to be outside, so playing or walking (or running) outside is no issue for me! I’ve worked with pet parents on specific training programs and have experience with medication administration as well!

Emily was a big help. She jumped in when another pet sitter was unavailable. She was really great with our dog.
Emily was super flexible about the time she came and walked my dog. She came during an externally warm week, and when it was too hot for a long walk with Nala, she played with her inside for a bit. Would very much recommend Emily.

If I were to be in your home, I would ask what home rules you have, such as no shoes, or only use the back door, etc. I will always clean up after myself and your pet if necessary. You will come home to your pet as if no one had come in that day! For my home, I have two male cats who are very rambunctious and love to be outside, which took a lot of harness and cue training!

A typical day
One of the things that’s great about Colorado Springs is the walkability! If they love king walks or a run, I can definitely do that, or if it’s too hot or cold, we can play around inside to get out some energy! If they’re a bit on the lazy side, we can sit in the grass, have some pets and just hang out together for a bit!

I am currently working part-time while going to graduate school. Most of my availability is in the early morning, afternoon and late afternoon. I have class and work in the evening and have an internship a couple days a week.
