Pet care experience
I've taken care of dogs, and pets of other types, pretty much my whole life. About 8 years ago I started being the primary care taker of my family dog 8 years ago, I walked, fed, and payed for his grooming and care, and now I still pay for his grooming and care even though he does not live with me anymore. I own my own cat and guinea pigs as well, and have taken care of them by myself for going on 3 years. I have pet sat for friends many times when they were traveling and have helped taken care of family pets for many years, walking dogs, feeding them, giving medicine, and watching them. I love any time spent with animals!

Emily is amazing with pets. She is kind and patient with all my pets and helps me tremendously. I have trouble seeing close up so she helps me bath and cut my Guinea pigs nails. All my animals love her, which include my 2 cats and a dog. She helps me take my elderly pooch to the groomers as he is a big boy. I highly recommend Emily as she is responsible and very patient. Pets always respond well and enjoy time with her.

I love animals so much, and like to do anything that will bring them joy and keep them safe, happy, and healthy. I usually am very good with every animal I meet, and am adaptable to most dog personalities. Since I work with kids I also know how to adapt to energy levels that dogs might need, I can be energetic and playful, or calm and quiet depending on what is needed. Since I have cared for dogs before, I feel very comfortable around them, and know when to be firm if needed.

I think it is important to know a dog's general personality, what they like and don't like to do, how they might behave around other dogs or people on walks, signs to look out for in each specific dog to know if they are upset or uncomfortable, and a dog's general activity level.
A typical day
I live by a park, and lots of people walk their dogs in my neighborhood, so I would love to take a dog on a walk to check out smells, as well as some trails that are around the area as well. If there are toys the dogs prefer, I would be happy to play with them, or just give them tons of cuddles.

Availability
I am an elementary teacher, so I am at work from 7am-3pm on weekdays, and attend church from 10am-12pm on Sundays, but pretty much all other time is free. So after 3pm on weekdays, all day Saturday, Sunday mornings, and after noon on Sundays are my available times.
