While I've worked caring for dogs in the past, I became a first time dog owner just over a year ago. It has influenced my life in such a positive way that I've found myself morphing into a real "dog person". My dog is a rescue and a very anxious one. I have developed special skills around working with dogs of high anxiety levels. I work as a middle school teacher so I have developed a calm presence but can be firm when needed. I have cared for dogs other than my own of various breeds and sizes ranging from small to medium. My work has ranged from walking at a regularly scheduled time to dog sitting at my apartment. Generally I have only done this for friends and family but I look forward to starting in a more professional capacity.
