My fascination for animals has been lifelong. I have several years of professional experience working in pet stores, which has provided me invaluable hands-on experience with a wide variety of species. However, I hold myself to a much higher standard than what is typically expected in a retail setting. My passion for working with animals is rooted in deep empathy and a continuous commitment to self-education. I am capable of administering medications, providing first aid, and accommodating pets with disabilities. I am also trained in identifying common health issues such as fleas, ringworm, heat stress, and others. Other relevant experience include years of dog walking and pet sitting for friends, 4-H rabbit projects, volunteer work for the National Park Service, a letter of recognition from a former governor for promoting animal conservation, and a certificate in rat tickling from Purdue University.
