Raised by wolves, pampering yours
Pet care experience
I grew up in a house with big dogs, cats, and even chickens, and have always enjoyed caring for my own and others furry friends. Now that I've flown the coup, I love spending time pampering the pets of friends, family, and now yours as well! I have worked with all ages of dogs, from puppies to geriatric, and am comfortable walking and managing energetic and large woofers. In addition to feeding, playing, and companionship, I have experience with bathing, medicating, and obedience training from my childhood dogs -- show me your routine and I'll make it happen. Cat-lover as well: my own furry companion Regina is a beautiful (cross-eyed!) tortoise-shell, and I'm well-acquainted with the huge variety of feline personalities and body language.

I am happy to come visit and care for your pet in the environment in which they are most comfortable--your home! I can offer walks, overnight or daytime stays with your pet, or simply stop in for check ins, feeding, and playtime. Show me your routine, and I'll do my best to be sure that your furry friend is happy, healthy, and incurs the least possible stress while his/her best friend is away. For walks, I am happy to follow your preferred neighborhood route, or come up with one of my own that avoids busy roads and prioritizes grass, quiet, and a stimulating environment. For energetic and well-trained dogs, I can even offer longer walks on the local hiking trails of Altadena.

Emily can watch in your home
Availability
I am a PhD student, with the flexibility to work from home part time when needed. On weekdays, I can do check-ins or walks before, after, and in between work commitments. With some notice, I can even spend the day and/or night at your home to keep your pet company. On weekends I can spend as much time with your companion as desired (though some weekends I escape to the mountains for adventures).
