Reviews
Emily looks after Darcey so so well. She goes above and beyond to make sure my kitty is well looked after whilst I'm away. I love the regular updates and photos to keep me in the loop. 😊
To say Emily exceeded our expectations would be an understatement! While we were out of town, she made sure our cats were cared for, well-fed, and happy. Emily is a fantastic communicator and we looked forward to hearing how our cats were doing each day (and receiving some adorable pictures of them). She made it a priority to spend quality time with the cats, and for that we are so appreciative. Even as first-time Rover users, we felt extremely comfortable leaving our cats in Emily’s hands. Thank you, Emily!!!
Emily was amazing and went above and beyond to take care of our cat when we were out of the country.
Emily was great! Good communication and was able to accommodate a last minute booking. Thank you ☺️

Safety, trust & environment
I make sure each pet I care for receives loving attention and playtime at every session I have with them. I also make sure your home is as clean as when I found it (or cleaner if you have a messy fur baby). Animals have their own distinct personalities and preferences, so I will take the time needed for them to get to know me, feel safe with me, and allow me to participate in their daily routine.
Information Emily D. would like to know about your pet
Are they reactive towards other animals, people, etc.? Are they shy? Are they food motivated? How are they with children, men, etc.? Any physical injuries or sensitivity? What is their track record with being left alone/in someone else’s care (i.e. hiding, hunger strike, etc.)? Do they allow for being picked up? Are there areas on their body where they don’t like to be touched (e.g., belly, back, etc.)?
A typical day
Love going walkies, as well as fetch, tug of war, laser, cat teasers, and any other toy play. In nice weather, I love to take field trips when possible to dog friendly spots like John Heinz NWR and Bartram’s Garden. Sometimes if the animal is okay with children, I will bring my son on pet walking/watching jobs; he loves to run and play, providing extra exercise and stimulation for your fur baby (upon your prior approval).

Availability
Currently available mornings and afternoons (evenings by request/case by case basis). If you book my services on a Tuesday or Thursday, please note that I will likely need to bring along my 5-year-old son (who is very comfortable and experienced with cats and dogs of all sizes). I’m a freelance writer/editor and South Philly mom. Feeling good about my livelihood is extremely important to me, and making sure your fur babies are well cared for and loved helps me sleep better at night.
