Pet care experience
I am a huge animal lover. I am kind, compassionate, responsible, and professional. I always treat other people's animals as if they are my own. Animals have been a huge part of my life. As a kid, you would either find me playing with my cats and dogs, horseback riding, or admiring all the fascinating bugs in my backyard. I have been pet sitting for friends and family for over a decade now, but I truly started being a dog walker/sitter at the age of 10 when my friend and I started our own business walking and bathing our neighbor's dogs. We called ourselves "Double Trouble" and even made business cards! All this to say, I am very experienced with taking care of animals. I know firsthand how nerve-wracking it can be to trust your fur babies are being well taken care of while you're out of town or at work. Whatever your needs may be, I am here to help and someone you can confidently rely on.

Emily cared for our three cats for two days while we were out of town. One of them is a senior kitty with special needs who has detailed feeding requirements. She wasn't daunted by this at all. She sent photos and brief updates on how things were going, and checked in with us to tweak things as needed. We appreciated the attention to detail Emily showed and are happy to have found someone like her to care for our kitties! We would definitely book again with her.

Emily is very responsible and caring with our pup. She is prompt for her visits and stays the entire time. She keeps us updated and sends sweet pictures. At your home, I will always do my best to accommodate you and your animal's needs. I am a very adaptable pet sitter, so let me know what works best for you. For drop-in visits I will follow your exact instructions. Not only will I do the basics of checking in, feeding, and let them use the bathroom, but I will also give them lots of love, snuggles, and play time. I will never just pop in quickly to make sure they have food and water. I know how important it is to make sure your pet is being loved and not left alone too long. If you have cats I will clean their litter boxes, pet them, play with them, feed, whatever you wish! The more details you provide in your pet care instructions- the better! I have been housesitting consistently for over 10 years and will not only take fantastic care of your pets, but I will also keep your home tidy and clean.

A typical day
I love to actively play with the pets I watch. For dogs, I’m really into training and providing mental stimulation. I can take them on daily walks around the neighborhood or a nice park and give them lots of pets at home. Personally, my dog loves to fetch, so if this is a game your dog loves to, then you can guarantee I will play fetch with your dog each day. For cats, I will meet the needs of each cat. Some love lots of pets and play time while others prefer to just sleep and be in the presence of a human. Let me know their personality type and I will accommodate. Even with cats that are more scared around humans they haven't met, I have always had great success. Usually by the second or third visit I have them coming out of their hiding spot. I'm not a loud person and I understand that cats and dogs alike need a calming presence around them to feel comfortable.

Availability
I am only available for drop-ins and dog walking on Saturday, Sunday, and Mondays at this time. I work 8:30am-4:30pm Tues-Fri. I can do bookings on those days before and after work on a case by case basis, so feel free to reach out and I can see if I can accommodate! On Saturdays-Mondays I have a completely open schedule and look forward taking care of your pets!
