Pet care experience
Dogs fill my heart with joy! I have loved and cared for my own pets (dogs and cats), from young pups to beloved seniors. I enjoy caring for other fur babies whenever I get the chance—whether it’s feeding, walking, playing or even having them stay in my home. My background as a registered nurse has been invaluable for meeting the medical needs of pets at home. My friendly lab/hound mix Douglas is happy to provide company to any furry friends I care for.

Emily has the most exceptional care to animals. I had no doubt in my mind that they were not getting the best care while I was out of town. Emily was AMAZING! She showed up when expected, always communicated with me and hand fed my fussy pup until she ate. She walked her and even washed a pot for me that had chicken in it for my pup. She also was kind to my pup and sent pictures of her visit. 5 stars all the way!
We hired Emily to visit our dogs while we were away on a long day trip to Boston. She came to meet the dogs beforehand, was super responsive in follow-up messages, and took great care of our dogs while we were away. They were not anxious at all when we returned home. We would hire her again in a heartbeat!!!

Let me know if your dog has any special needs or preferences so this can be a positive experience for them. For daycare and overnight stays, I like to do a meet & greet at a local spot to make sure our doggies like each other. My dog Douglas is friendly & laidback, but it’s always good to know.
A typical day
Whether it’s a drop in visit at your house or daycare at mine, I love to play with dogs, take them for walks, and brush them (if they enjoy it). For daycare or overnights, I like to take them with me in my Subaru to check out our local walking trails and lovely beach. I also have an large crate with comfy bedding set up next to my own dog’s crate, so Douglas can keep your dog company for those short trips out when I can’t take the dogs with me. I’m always adaptable to individual pet needs and requests of families.

Availability
Pet sitting works well with my part-time job and family schedule. I’m available several days a week 9am-2:30pm, as well as some evenings and weekends.
