Pet care experience
I have had pets since I was born! I grew up with two German shepherds, a cat, turtles, birds, saltwater and freshwater fish tanks, and houseplants. I am currently helping a local pet rescue, they showed me how to apply different medications and injections. If your pet needs special care, I can help. If your dog likes being brushed I am totally open to doing that too. Each visit I will try to get a super cute photo-shoot worthy picture of your pet. Back home I would care for all of our pets and house/pet sit for family friends and neighbors. I loved doing it! I currently don’t have any furry friends of my own, so I am excited to be able to help other pet owners care for their pawed family members. I am also open to helping with rodents, lizards, amphibians, snakes (non-venomous only), birds, possibly buggie friends, and can be open to other pets if you need. Again, I would prefer non-toxic pets, but I would love to help anyone I can!

Emily was amazing with my kitty cat! Fast to respond when I was in a pinch to find someone. Updated me on my fur baby and was very kind. Would 100% use her again to watch my animals.

I will follow your house rules and make sure that I ask questions. I also would like to know which vet you prefer in the case of an emergency. If something happens, rest assured that I’ll call you on the way to the emergency vet, and keep you on the phone as much as possible. Your pet is very important to me, I know that they are a part of your family and I will make sure they get treated as such. 💚 I do not have any pets other than a small fish tank. If needed I can put up my houseplants, but I don’t expect that to be much of a problem. They are well taken care of and can easily be put out of reach. I have a small balcony, but I would prefer to walk dogs outside on a leash/harness for safety.

Does your dog typically poop on walks? How does your dog act around moving vehicles? Does your dog have any allergies? A typical day
I have a dog park in my neighborhood that is fully enclosed! Me and your dog can run around, play fetch, learn new commands, go on nice scenic walks, if you know something your dog likes to do let me know!

Availability
I am a medical student, I would love to get some exercise for your pup and myself! I think dog walking will be my favorite pastime, being outdoors and playing with a dog- couldn’t be better. I enjoy caring for animals, I actually was pre-veterinary when I applied to MSU, I love animals but realized my career needed more human interaction. I am also open to pet sitting and in-home care.
